Looking for guidance to network an old Starmax 4000
Hi,
I'm looking to port some old files (photo scans, reports, race results) from a Starmax 4000 (MacOS 7.6) that I had back in the 90s/2000s so I can use them in a club centenary project coming up in the next couple of years. I would like to do it fairly soon before I replace my ageing Mac Mini (2010) running High Sierra (10.13.6) with a current Big Sur model (can then finally dispose of the Starmax). Any guidance appreciated from anyone who has had similar experience recently. It does appear to have a PCI Ethernet Card built in but I have yet to find any software that recognises the router (I will have stopped using the Starmax before replacing dial-up with broadband).
I did try to read some backup floppies through an external drive but it didn't recognise MacOS floppies although successful for PC format disks, hence looking at this method.
Thanks, Gordon
