PowerPC mac won't run Intel programs

I have a G5 PowerPC mac with the dual 2ghz processors. I am not able to buy any new programs because they all require the intel chips. Is there any way around this? The computer still works great, just... can't upgrade any programs.

Unfortunately not. The PowerPC and Intel chipsets are fundamentally different, and whilst some 'older' software gets compiled into universal binaries that will run on both, most developers will only be supporting Intel Macs these days. Sorry to be the bringer of bad tidings, but it may be time for an upgrade.
